Sign in to the old account, click your name or profile icon in the top left, and choose Profile. Click the email field, and create an alias of the address you already have. Click Update.
In Gmail, add a plus sign and any text after your username, like example+oldaccount@gmail.com. Mail still lands in your normal inbox. Then set that alias as the old account's email using the steps above.
