What are common examples of eligible health expenses?

Eligible health expenses (EHEs) generally include anything used to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate disease, as well as care that affects any body part or function. This covers services from licensed practitioners, medical equipment and supplies, medical insurance premiums, medical transportation, and qualified long-term care.

Common examples include medical premiums, prescriptions, doctor copays, and hospital services. You can also use QMEs for dental work and orthodontia, vision exams and eyewear, lab fees and imaging, physical therapy, and mental health services. Long-term care and medical transportation are eligible too.
