Thatch supports two approaches: manual deductions, where you download a report each pay period and enter amounts yourself, and automated deductions, where Thatch writes amounts directly to an eligible payroll partner.
If Thatch supports automated deductions for your payroll provider, we'd recommend those — it saves you re-entering amounts every pay period. To check, go to Settings → Payroll and connect your provider; if the option to enable automated deductions appears, it's supported. If you're unsure, contact support@thatch.com.
