What is Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is the annual period when you can enroll in, renew, or change your health benefits for the next year.

For members whose employer is new to Thatch, there isn't one shared deadline — your enrollment window opens the day your employer sends your invite, and runs 30 days by default (or 14 days, if your employer has set a shorter window). To guarantee a January 1, 2027 start date, you'll need to complete enrollment by December 28. If you submit on December 29 or later, your coverage will start February 1, 2027 instead.

If your employer onboarded with Thatch between November 5–30 as part of that open-enrollment cohort, your submission deadline is December 15, not December 28 — check with your employer if you're unsure which timeline applies to you.

If you were enrolled on Thatch in 2026, your deadline was different — see the Open Enrollment Guide for Current Members.
