Yes — once your enrollment is active with the carrier, your coverage is effective. Your provider can verify coverage using your name, date of birth, and SSN. You can also create an online member account with your carrier to access a digital member ID card before your physical card arrives in the mail.
Tip: Ensure your provider’s office is notifying the carrier that your plan is an Individual/Family plan (IFP) when verifying your benefits. Otherwise, the carrier rep may not be able to find your information.
