What do the provider call results mean — in-network, out-of-network, or unknown?

Results will show one of three statuses:

In-network: The provider confirmed they accept the plan and network
Out-of-network: The provider confirmed they do not accept the plan
Unknown: The provider was unreachable, couldn't confirm 2026 network status, no longer at the submitted address, or wasn't able to provide a definitive answer

For "unknown" results, you may need to follow up directly with the provider or your insurance carrier.
